15 Daily Habits That Will Change Your Life:

1. Drink Enough Water
First things first: DRINK WATER!! Simple but one of the most important habits that benefit you mentally and physically. H2O has so many benefits to you than just staying hydrated. It helps increase energy, improves skin complexion, flushes out toxins, and relieves headaches.

If you’re a soda person, we get it - soda is delicious. However, drinking beverages other than water might prevent you from drinking enough water. We recommend having a huge water bottle and setting goals of how many bottles you should drink a day!

2. Make a to-do list
Being prepared and planning your day is helpful with staying productive and efficient with your daily plans and goals. Knowing what you need to do and when you plan on doing it is helpful for not getting sidetracked.

Even if you weren’t planning on any special plans, this is a great way to start your day with an intention (even on self-care days)!

Here’s an example of a self-care day planned out:
8am: Journaling affirmations
11am: Workout with besties
1pm: Face mask + hot bath
5pm: Cook a nutritious meal
7pm: Binge-watch netflix
9pm: Night time full-body stretch

3. Wake Up Early
This one is a game-changer. Even if you don’t have plans for the day, still wake up - and let that reason to wake up early and get sh!t done be YOU, do it for yourself! When you have more time in the day, you have more free time to focus on yourself.

PS. if you’re not used to waking up early - the first few days, you might feel a little tired but if you make it a habit, you should be able to fit it right into your routine!

4. Stretch day & night
Stretching is a great way to stay connected to your mind and body. This relaxing and rewarding exercise can help with mental clarity, improve your joint movements, help with muscle recovery, and help with daily activities.

It’s also a great stress reliever and helps relieve headaches. We love prioritizing stretch day and night, but if you ever need a mid-day pick-me-up, this is a great way to get right back on track to boost your energy. Trust us, stretching has so many benefits!

5. Write 3 reasons why you’re grateful
Get through your day with a positive mind and a grateful heart. We’re not going to say that a “positive attitude” can fix all your problems, because realistically it can’t - but it is a great start to having a good day!

When you start your mornings doing this - you’ll remember it throughout your day even when something bad happens, and it may help defuse any negative situations.

6. Listen to a podcast
If you haven’t hopped onto the podcast train yet - girl, you are missing out! Podcasts are great to listen to when you’re stretching, working out, or doing anything really.

It’s an awesome way to learn new perspectives and feed your brain with some more knowledge. It also makes time go by so much faster when you’re doing something that might be tedious or boring! Do yourself a favour and start listening to podcasts ;)

7. Designate time to be OFF your phone/technology
Lately, it’s so hard to stay OFF social media. Do you find yourself constantly scrolling and looking at absolutely nothing? Trust us, we know that it’s so easy to get sucked into. However, designating some time out of your day to be completely OFFLINE will help you stay connected to your surroundings and the present time.

8. Spend at least 15 minutes reading
Spend 15 minutes reading! Whether that’s a blog post, a book, or whatever you want - reading daily is a great way to improve brain connectivity, prevent cognitive decline, and so many other benefits. So grab your favorite book (or a new book) and get into it!

PS. If you're ever having trouble sleeping, try reading! It helps aid in sleep readiness.

9. Make time for loved ones
We’re humans! We need socialization! This is your reminder to check up on your loved ones, plan a date to have a laugh with your besties, or simply send that “I’m thinking of you” text message. Despite busy lives, it’s important to prioritize the ones you love.

Whether it’s facetime, a lunch date, or a simple text message - being surrounded by loved ones is always a benefit to your mental health. Also, you deserve to spend time with people who bring so much joy and bring out the best in you!

10. Fuel your body with healthy food
HEALTHY = WEALTHY. Eating meals that are filled with nutrients are key to fuel your body and your brain. Your body needs nutrients to stay energized! Get rich in nutrients, babe.

Our favorite healthy meals? A smoothie bowl, tacos, rice bowls, and so much more! Comment below and tell us if we should write a blog on healthy recipes.

11. Repeat your daily, quarterly, and annual goals to yourself
Repeat your goals. EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. This is a great way to remind yourself of what you’re working towards. Repeat it out loud, write it on a piece of paper daily, whatever you do - don’t forget where you’re going.

Make your goals real, make your plans real, and don’t stop until you get there. AND DON’T EVER GIVE UP, LOVE! You got this. Do it for YOU.

12. Tidy up your space
You know what they say, right? A clear space = a clear mind! It’s crazy just how much decluttering the space arounds you can help declutter your mind.

For instance, when you wake up and make your bed right in the morning - it’s a great start to the day of being productive!

13. Move your body and get energized
Staying active is so important. Adding physical activity in your day should be a priority, as it helps control weight, improves mood, boosts energy, promotes better sleep habits, prevents health conditions, and so much more!

If you’re someone who just can’t get out of bed to bring yourself to the gym - there are so many activities you can sneak into your daily routine without taking much time!

14. Spend some time outdoors
Get outside!! Being in nature has so many benefits mentally and physically. Being outside helps bring fresh oxygen to your lungs, the sunshine gives you Vitamin D nutrients, it gets your body moving, and you get to enjoy the view of all that nature has to offer.

Whether it’s going on a daily walk, daily run, daily hike, whatever it is- make sure to get outside and appreciate mother nature.

15. Do what makes you happy
With every intention of making yourself happy. Period.

//

This is your reminder to do what sets your soul on fire and what makes you feel happy.

Please be mindful that it’s okay to have off-days or self-care days. Ultimately, listen to what your body wants and what it needs.

This is YOUR year to put yourself first, babe.

With love,
