7 Activities To Do With Mom (or anyone in your life)
Mother’s Day is fast approaching and if you’re a last-minute planner, like so many of us - don’t stress out, we’ve got you covered! Mother’s Day is the perfect excuse to take a break from our busy lives and appreciate the little things!
Mom and daughter activities are the perfect time to bond with one another and a chance to learn more about each other, and we’ve found the best 7 Activities To Do With Your Mom:
//
1. Go on a nature walk or long hike
Find your favorite hiking spot and take your mom there! Going on a long walk or hike is the perfect time to have long conversations and catch-up on each other’s lives. Truly, we believe some of the most down-to-earth conversations happen here (no pun intended haha).
Plus, there are so many benefits that you can get when you are outdoors! Breathe in the fresh air, soak in the Vitamin D from the sun, get some exercise in, and feel connected to the environment around you. Get all those benefits AND connect with your mom, we love that!
2. Do a wine & paint night
This is the perfect time to explore your creativity and share it. By doing this, you can express your thoughts and get inside your mom’s brain a little too! This super fun activity can also be very meaningful when you get to learn more about each other’s artistic side.
Getting tipsy with your mom? Always a good decision if you ask us. In all seriousness, if you’re an adult, it’s okay to get loose and have fun with your mom! If wine is not your thing (or you’re not of age), opt-out and just have some healthy snacks - it’ll be just as much fun!
3. Have a spa day together
Relax and get pampered together! Whether it’s a day out to get manicure and pedicure, or facials, or even massages. Spend the day getting spoiled by a refreshing spa day that can help the both of you recharge and feel more confident!
Spa days can help both of you de-stress if you need to, help prevent anti-aging effects (your mom might appreciate this too), can improve sleeping habits, and so much more! It really sounds like the perfect excuse for a self-care day for the both of you.
4. Go on a shopping date
Remember those elementary school days when your mom would take you shopping before school starts? Why not relive those days and have a shopping spree with your mom! A little nostalgia can’t hurt - it might even bring back some positive memories.
Your mom is the perfect person to go shopping with, not only are they your biggest hype man but they will give you their honest opinion because they want what’s best for you! You can even do this at home and online… Like how cute would matching VITAE fitness sets be?!
5. Bake your fave recipes together
Bonding + food? Name us a more iconic duo, we’ll wait. Treat yourself and your mom to a day baking your favorite recipes together or try a new recipe. This is a great bonding experience where you can do something you love, help each other out, and enjoy some sweets.
Want to make it even more fun? You can make this baking day a cook-off and have a little cheeky competition. Perhaps your other family members can join the cook-off and you can team up with your mom or get them to be the judges!
6. Dress up and dine out
You both deserve a night out! Ask your mom what her favorite restaurant is and treat her to a nice dinner. You can get away from the rest of the family and spend some quality time with her, where you can both look your best and feel your best.
Let’s be real… How often do you and your mom get to dress up, take some cute pics, and have a nice dinner out?! We’re confident your mom will appreciate this mother & daughter date where you can share some good food and good laughs.
7. Play a game of tennis!
Tennis is such a great game to play with family or friends, especially your mom. It can be played 1 on 1, and you can chat while you play. Not only do you get to break a sweat, but you get to connect with your mom. Maybe it’ll end up being a hobby you both pick-up together!
Tennis is not your thing? Try a different sport! Pass a basketball around, go for a swim, take a fitness class together, whatever sport or physical activity you like to do - your serotonin and dopamine will be flowing, which means it’ll be a positive experience for the both of you.
