AMBASSADORS SHARE THEIR STORIES (OCTOBER EDITIONšŸ‚)

Hi Babes!

Welcome back to another Vitae Ambassadors Share Their Stories for our October Edition.

Before we begin, we hope your October month was filled with cozy fall weather, spooky festivities, and no tricks - just treats.

Our lovely Ambassadors: Julie McCabe, Kelsey Bryk, and Sean Mari Sagun will be sharing their stories on overcoming struggles, witnessing the journey of breast cancer, becoming their best selves, and how Vitae Apparel changed their life.

We are so excited for you to learn more about these ladies and their stories! Go on, meet our lovely ambassadors for our October Edition!

JULIE MCCABE

My mother hadĀ breastĀ cancerĀ when I was 5 years old and in kindergarten. I remember being taken to the hospital to visit her and I got to pick out a new stuffed animal at the gift shop. My mother had discovered a lump in herĀ breastĀ and when the biopsy came back it turned out to beĀ cancer.
Luckily, theĀ cancerĀ was only in the early stages, so it hadnā€™t spread anywhere else in her body and chemotherapy was not needed. Instead, my mom underwent a mastectomy (removal of theĀ breast). After it was removed, I remember for years in the summertime she would get down about not being able to wear a normal bathing suit and wore a prostheticĀ breast.
As kids, my siblings and I would laugh and squeeze the prostheticĀ breastĀ when she took it out. Sometimes she would be sad and cry about the fact that she was no longer ā€œwholeā€.
Fast forward 10 years, she decided to get reconstruction surgery to regain the appearance of twoĀ breastsĀ once again. The surgery she chose involved taking a piece of her latissimus dorsi muscle as well as an implant to recreate theĀ breast. She was happy with the results and not having to wear a prostheticĀ breastĀ anymore. After the scars had healed, she even got a nipple tattooed on!

KELSEY BRYK
Winnipeg, Manitoba
Just as I was finishing my PhD, I found Vitae and instantly fell in love with every product I bought.
After finishing my PhD outside of my home country and in the middle of a pandemic, I decided to refocus and start prioritizing myself without feeling guilty about it.
I turned 30, got a great job back home, moved in with my partner after 4 years of doing long distance, started my own baking side business (@bryksbaking), and am currently training to become a spin instructor!
Proud to say Iā€™m checking off many bucket list items this year!

SEAN MARI SAGUN
Calgary, Alberta
If you told me a year ago that I will be an ambassador for Vitae Apparel or even a regular gym-goer, I would have laughed my heart off.
As outgoing as I can be, I used to dread going to the gym because I was so self-conscious and I thought that people will judge me if I do the wrong workout, or if I use the wrong equipment, or if I wear the wrong clothes. I had this thinking that my body was just not built for leggings or gym wear in general, and that's okay.
But I have never felt so empowered when I saw the "See how this fits on other models" feature on the website when I was shopping for my Recharge set. That was something I've never seen before and it encouraged me to shop and gave me the confidence, that said "hey, you have the same body type as this model right here and she looks BOMB AF".
Not to mention the encouraging talk I had with Max G. about how nice gym clothes ALSO empowers you in the gym, and that is 100% true. Vitae Apparel has a great community that I'm proud to be part of, and I'm glad to be representing this brand along with thousands of women across the globe.

These girls are truly amazing! We are so honoured to have such wonderful ambassadors who are part of our VITAE community.

Thank you so much to Julie, Kelsey, and Sean for sharing their stories with our community - we are so proud of you, always!

This was a great way to end the month of October, and we can't wait for next month's!

Stay tuned. #VITAEBABES forever.
